Auton Under-Bed TV Lift a Dreamy Solution
CIS - Charlotte, NC's Source For Auton Automation Solutions!
When you’re not watching TV, the Dream Machine can hide it under your bed at the press of a button.
Sometimes you just don’t have the right wall for mounting a TV. And sometimes you just want to keep the views out of your bedroom window intact, whether they’re looking out on a beach, a city skyline or mountainside.
Auton may have the designer-friendly solution for your viewing needs. Keep your vistas pristine, and keep your TV out of the way when you don’t want to watch it—the company’s Dream Machine under-bed TV lift does the manual labor for you.
We see plenty of TV hide-away solutions that stow a set within the ceiling or bed footboard. The Dream Machine utilizes today’s super-thin TVs to fold them up and tuck them under the bed (or other place you’re looking to save space).
With the press of its wireless remote, the lift will quietly raise your TV out and up from under the bed and into a favored preset viewing height. From there it’s not only viewable from the bed, but anywhere else in the room because it can swivel 180 degrees in either direction. Then it’ll fold back up and under again to its original position with another click.
The Dream Machine can hold up to 120 pounds, more than enough for today’s light-weight flat panels, and it slides on polyurethane wheels under the bed so no worries about installation hassles or floor scratching.

ZVOX Wants to See Your TV Wire Mess
C.I.S.: We Also Specialize In Fixing Other A/V Companies' Mistakes!
The company is holding a contest asking ‘How ugly is the back of your TV’ and has a soundbar ready to give the winner.
We hope your TV isn’t ugly, but if it is, ZVOX want to know about it.
More specifically, the manufacturer of the Z-Base 550 home theater system is looking for setups with the biggest mess of wires in the back of the TV.
“TV wire hairballs are a growing problem in our society,” says ZVOX founder Tom Hannaher. “It started out 30 years ago with a simple VCR hookup, but now there are cable boxes, Xboxes, Blu-ray players and multi-speaker surround-sound systems. It’s a real mess.”
Email your entry photographs to info@zvoxaudio.com with “Ugly TV Contest” as the subject line in the email, and you could wind up winning a Z-Base 550. Entries must be received by no later than April 30, 2010.
After you snap a few pictures, use the following tips to beautify your big-screen.
—Cable covers. Hide the cabling inside a plastic tube. A number of companies offer inexpensive plastic enclosures for cabling. Styles in include tubes, channels that attach to the wall and units that resemble baseboards.
—Furniture. Replace your entertainment cabinet or stand with a unit that features an internal cable management system where the wiring can be routed inside the hollow legs of the stand, for example.
—Equipment closet. The more equipment you keep with your TV, the more cabling there is. You can cut down on the cabling in your living room by locating the Blu-ray player, A/V receiver, cable box and other components in closet.

Sharp Entering 3D TV Fray by Summer
CIS - Your #1 Source For Sharp HDTV Sales and Installation in North Carolina!
Sharp is expected to launch 3D TVs in Japan in the summer, and in the U.S. by December.
Sharp may have been lagging behind its display manufacturer rivals at this year’s CES in January by promoting its QuadPixel technology that adds yellow as a primary color to go with displays’ red, green and blue (you may have seen recent commercials for the renamed Quattron), while others were riding the 3D wave during the expo.
Well the company is getting a move on playing catch-up. So in addition to its four-color technology, Sharp will be including 3D capability in displays launching this summer in Japan, according to Reuters.
We know that the likes of Samsung and Panasonic already have TVs shipping, with LG’s coming in May and Sony’s to arrive by the summer as well.
If you’re reading this in the U.S., you can expect Sharp’s 3D flat-panels to hit shelves by December, hopefully with nice price tags in time for holiday shopping.
“We are now one step closer to such things as 3D displays with the world’s best quality or the ultimate display,” Sharp executive vice president Masafumi Matsumoto told a news conference on Monday. Reuters adds that Matsumoto noted that he expected Sharp’s 3D TVs to comprise between 5 and 10 percent of the company’s total LCD TV sales in the fiscal year ending March 2011.
We’d expect that by December early adopters and critics alike will have provided plenty of say in how the 3D TV competition stacks up. By then other companies will probably be onto their second-gen products, so we’ll just have to wait and see how Sharp’s fits into the game. No word on pricing or sizes, so we’ll keep an eye out for that, too.
